Program B : Mae Sai Half Day

   Journey from the hotel northwards via scenic countryside villages to Maesai district, the northern most point of Thailand at the border with Myanmar. First stop is at the Fish and Monkey Cave, the sacred temple where many local Thai-Chinese Buddhists make their merit and release their bad luck by liberating of fish into the cave. Continue to the jade cutting factory to watch highly skilled jade carving and then hunt for a bargain in busy colorful border market at Maesai before return back to the hotel.

Program C : Chiangrai City Tour Half Day

   During the late 13th century various Thai tribes made their way south out of vulnerable lands in present day south-west China, into the lands that were to become Thailand and Laos. Chiangrai was the one of early capitals of these relocated Tai, and become the basis of a “Lanna Thai” kingdom.
   The city tours start from the hotel by the local made of 3-wheels transportation called Samlor (rickshaw or tricycle) to Chiangrai city.
   Visit the King Mengrai monument and the hilltribe museum. Continue to Wat Phra Kaew where the Emeral Buddha image from Bangkok was formerly housed in 1434 A.D. Wat Phra Singa and to the daily fresh market of Chiangrai town. The tour continues by car to Wat Rongkhun (The White Temple), the mose famous and unique temple in Chiangrai. It is a decorated by the design of the celebrated Thai artist Arjan Chalermchai.

Program D : Hill Tribe/ Maesai/ Golden Triangle. Full Day

   Chiangrai region is a beautiful and mountainous area, and shares borders with Laos and Myanmar. As a result of the political instability in bordering countries, many groups of Hill Tribes migrated into northern Thailand over the centuries.
   On this tour you will drive north, via up-country villages, to visit the colorful Yao (Mian) & Akha tribal villages in Maechan district. These Hill Tribes have settled their home at one location and have established improved standards of living under supervision of the Thai government and with the support of Royal Projects. The tour continue to Maesai the northern most town in Thailand, at the Burmese border. Visit high quality and skilled Jade cutting factory and find bargains at the colorful border town market at Maesai.
   After lunch at the local restaurant, drive along the border to “The Golden Triangle” where three countries converge Thailand Laos and Myanmar.
   In formers times, this area was well know as the World’s largest opium trading center. Enjoy wonderful panoramic viewpoint of The Golden Triangle and journey around this area by long-tail motor boat. Cruise along The Maekhong River into Laos and Myanmar before traveling comfortably back to the hotel.

Program Tour E : Mae Salong / Maesai. Full Day

   Chiangrai is full of mountain terrain, on the border between Laos and Myanmar. In former time this area was an important route for smuggling and local trade caravans.
   This trip will ascend to the summit of Doi Mae Salong knows as Baan Santikiri the settlement of remnant Yunan Chinese Kuomintang (93rd regiment) refugees. The village is surrounded with green tea plantation fields, grown to replace the opium poppy fields of the past. Enjoy the delicious green tea tasting here. On the same mountain visit the Lisu Yao (Mian) and Akha Hill Tribe villages. These tribes migrated cross the border from Myanmar into Thailand over than 150 years ago. Lunch will be served at the most popular local restaurant in the village.
   Descend to The Fish and Monkey Cave temple, and take an opportunity to make merit and release your own troubles by freeing a fish into the cave and feeding the mountain monkeys. Continue driving to Maesai, Thailand’s northern most town on the Burmese border.
   Watch the busy local trading caravans on “Friendship Bridge” the gate of these two countries open daily from 06:30 am. – 06:30 pm. Visit a well know highly skilled Jade cutting factory and enjoy shopping around the busy border town market before return back to the hotel.

Program Tour F : Doi Tung / Maesai. Full Day

   Cultivation of the opium poppy benefit from a cooler climate in high elevation area, Doi Tung is the highest mountain in Chiangrai and the range borders to Myanmar. At one time this was a huge poppy producing area, producing 30-40% of the world’s supply of opium. In 1987 Doi Tung Development Project was established according to the Princes Mother. Opium cultivation has been virtually eliminated following the Royal Crop Substitution Project.
   A visit is made at Royal Villa, The beloved private home of the princes Mother and her beautiful private botanical garden. Lunch will be served at the Project restaurant.
   Continue driving to Maesai, Thailand’s northern most town on the Burmese border. Program Tour H : Elephant Safari. Full Day

   In traditional Thai culture, the elephant is an auspicious animal, which brings good luck. Their population was decreasing until in 1976 the elephant conservation project was established in Thailand, with the aim to reproduce and look after the elephant population of this region (including Laos and Myanmar).
   This adventure day trip will bring you in touch the conservation of elephants. Leave Chiangrai pier by long-tail boat, cruise along the Maekok river for 1 hour to the Karen Hill Tribe village. Trek for 2 hours elephant riding through the jungle via rich dark-green scenery and mountail cultivation to the Yao (Mian) Hill Tribe village. Enjoy a picnic lunch in scenic countryside. After lunch continue the journey by pick-up truck to visit Akha Tribe village, which moved from Tibet to China and Myanmar into Thailand over 200 years ago. Rest and renew at the Huay Maesai waterfall, swimming and relaxing before return back to the hotel.

Program Tour J : Elephant Riding and Trekking. Full Day

   The Maekok River flows from southern Shan state in Myanmar into Thailand at Baan Thaton via Chiangrai down to meet the Maekhong River at Chiangsaen. The river brings much advantage to local inhabitants who have settled their homes on both banks for cultivation and daily life. One of the great way of touching beautiful nature of the Maekok River basin is spending a day trekking into the jungle.
   The day start from Chiangrai boat pier, board the long-tail boat for 1 hour approximately up steam watch and enjoy the beautiful scenery pass by on both banks. Arrive at the Karen Tribe village and elephant camp. The Karen tribe had migrated from Myanmar into Thailand over than 150 years ago and at present day have developed skills in capturing and training elephants for transport (as supposed to logging former time). Enjoy the experience of 1 hour elephant riding to the mountains along the river bank to the Lahu Tribe village, where we can cross the river by boat to Huay Makliam National park. Lunch and coffee break will served here. After lunch enjoy 2 hours trekking up high mountains visit Lahu and Akha Tribe villages, the final highlight of the day is taking your time to rest and swim at Huay Kaew waterfall one of the largest falls in Chiangrai, end the day travel back to the hotel by car.

   The tour begins by car to “The White Temple” the most famous Thai national artist Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat. The main temple building or Ubosot is a distinctive white color and decorated with fragments of reflective glass. The paintings and the mural inside the temple are stunning. Next stop is “The Black House” the artist private home Dr.Tawan Duchanee, one of the most famous Thai artist who is native of Chiangrai. Then the Journey continues to visit Doi Din Deng pottery in Chiangrai Ajarn Somnuk, both commercial and collectors pieces are on display, as well as available for purchase from the retail boutique. Program Tour M : Three Countries Tour. Full Day

   The day starts at 08:30 am. With one hour drive up north to Maesai, the most northern town in Thailand. Here you will cross the “friendship” bridge to Thachilek a border town in Myanmar, spend some time to travel around town by local Tuk Tuk to the Thailue village, visit the colorful aromatic wet market, the Chavedagong golden pagoda on the hill top and local temple. Then back to hunt for bargains at the border market, before crossing back to Maesai in Thailand. Visit thehighly skilled Jade carving factory. Have lunch at the local restaurant on the way to the Golden Triangle, after lunch enjoy a long-tail boat along Maekhong River around the Golden Triangle, and stop over at Donsao Island in Laos. Visit the colorful handicraft center then back by boat to Thailand. Ascend to the hill top panoramic view point where you can see three countries meeting point and Maekhong River. The journey will continue to the old city of Chiangsaen, which was the Lanna Thai capital city in 14th century. Visit Wat Chedi Luang ancient temple before return back to the hotel.

Program Tour N : 2 Days 1 night Trekking Tour

   Day 1
   Take a short drive from the hotel to Chiangrai boat pier and take long tail boat along Maekok River, visit Karen Tribe village and the elephant camp for 1hour elephant riding through the beautiful mountainous landscape and for some souvenir shopping. Cross the Maekok River by boat to the Huay Makliam National park,Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch start the trekking tour through the jungle, Tribe villages (Lahu, Mian, Akha and Chinese) and the Huay Kaew waterfall, spend a night in the bamboo hut at the Akha village and enjoy the night activities.
   Day 2
   After breakfast, walking to the next Tribe villages, visit tea plantation join the jungle activities, make your own jungle lunch. Then walk down hill to the Natural Hot Spring for relaxing before return back to hotel.
